Who is mentaga GYM suitable for?

With mentaga GYM, anyone, irrespective of age or education, can determine their level of mental fitness and increase their general performance and thus their personal wellbeing using the training modules on offer.

Training with mentaga is suitable for anyone who wants to improve their mental fitness and to prevent mental ageing. With mentaga GYM, young adults and adults can also prepare for professional selection procedures and thus significantly improve their chances of success.

How should I use mentaga GYM?

In the first step, you determine your current level of mental fitness by doing the mentaga GYM check-up. The check-up involves a total of 6 different parts that can be worked through individually. Most people need less than an hour for the entire check-up. Afterwards, you will be given a comprehensive, individual analysis report on your current mental fitness, with many tips on how you can develop yourself.

Additionally, you gain access to the exciting mentaga GYM, where you are offered everything so that you can intensely train your brain on a regular basis. For intense brain training, however, you should use the training instruments in the GYM area for at least 10 minutes at least three times a week. With the results overview in mentaga GYM, you can keep an eye on all your training times and success in the individual training units at all times.

After about 6 months (at the latest after 12 months) of regular training with mentaga GYM, you should repeat the complete check-up, in order to obtain an overview of your changes in mental fitness.

That way, you increase your wellbeing and your capacity for your daily tasks at work or at school, in your everyday routine and in your leisure time.

How does training with mentaga GYM work?

Training the brain can be basically compared with training the body. Just as an athlete increases his/her physical capacity by intense exercise, you can increase your mental fitness astoundingly with specific exercises. In the constantly updated GYM area of mentaga, you have access to computer-aided training units with which you can intensely train all of the different aspects of your mental fitness. The individual training units never take more than 5 minutes.

The fun approach of the exercises motivates you to train daily. Mentaga GYM always adapts the difficulty level of the exercises to your personal performance. The better you become, the more you will be challenged. The training units are designed such that you will find it easy to train for at least 10 minutes at least three times a week. With the results overview in mentaga GYM, you can keep an eye on all your training times and success in the individual training units at all times. That way, fun for every age and long-time motivation are guaranteed.

What progress can I expect when training with mentaga GYM?

Your training success with mentaga GYM depends, on the one hand, on your personal preconditions and, on the other hand, on the intensity and, especially, the regularity of your training with mentaga GYM. The better your mental fitness, the more effort it will take to increase it. The success of your training depends decisively on the regularity of your training. It would be more beneficial to train three times a week for 10 minutes at a time than to train once a week for 60 minutes. You should make regular training a part of your schedule, and ensure that you are not disturbed or distracted as you do the training units. Most people see the first signs of success after about 3 weeks of regular training. After 6 months of regular training, the success becomes permanent.

What results will mentaga GYM inform me of?

After your check-up, you will be given a comprehensive, individual analysis report with many tips on your current mental fitness (see an example). You will be given detailed results on your current condition in the three areas of skills, motives and habits. For every aspect of mental fitness, you will be given a value on a five-level scale. Your value is based on a comparison of your performance with the average performance of a sample of people representative of your gender and age bracket. Your values tell you unmistakeably whether your performance is bad, not good, so-so, very good or optimal in comparison to others. Thus you know exactly what you need to train on and how.

By seeing your results in the training area of mentaga GYM, you can keep an eye on all your training times and results in the individual training units and your personal progress in chart form at all times.

Can I also determine my brain age using mentaga GYM?

In principle, you can also determine your brain age using mentaga GYM. Nevertheless, we must point out here that brain age is based on the so-called mental age. In psychological diagnostics, this concept has already been considered for some decades to be completely obsolete, since it is imprecise and has no practical significance. Therefore, mentaga GYM uses a measurement concept that is considerably superior in content and measurement technology to brain age.

How often is mentaga GYM updated?

There is continual exchange taking place between mentaga GYM and its users, so mentaga GYM is constantly being automatically updated. The samples for comparison are regularly checked and updated, so that the results in your check-up report are always as exact as possible. We are constantly researching and developing in order to provide you with new training units in the GYM area. If there is something you feel is missing from mentaga GYM, or if you have suggestions for improvement, then tell us your requests in an e-mail to helpline@mentaga.com. With regular updates to mentaga GYM, all improvements will be immediately available to all users the next time they log in.

What does it cost to use mentaga GYM?

Registration with mentaga GYM is completely free of charge and noncommittal. Once registered you receive a guest account which gives you limited access to the GYM area (training area) free of charge and noncommittal. The general rule is: Unless you have gone through a process in which you have been explicitly informed of the costs and have given your explicit agreement to those costs, mentaga GYM will remain free of charge to you. For unlimited use of all mentaga GYM services, you need a valid mentaga membership. There are three alternatives for this: € 5 per month for 12 months (total € 60); € 7 per month for 6 months (total € 42) or € 9 per month for 1 month (total € 9). mentaga memberships are not automatically renewed.

What are the limits to mentaga GYM?

With mentaga GYM, you can determine your level of mental fitness and increase your general performance and thus your wellbeing using the offered training instruments. The mentaga GYM services, however, do not in any way substitute for medical examinations or advice. In the case of physical or psychological health problems, mentaga GYM recommends regular visits to a doctor and/or psychotherapist and to follow the agreed therapy.

What happens to my data at mentaga GYM?

The services of mentaga GYM make it necessary to record, process and use your personal data. Your data will not be passed on or disclosed to unauthorized third parties under any circumstances. We store and process your data in compliance with the prevailing regulations of the Teledienstdatenschutzgesetz, TDDSG (teleservice data protection act) and the Bundesdatenschutzgesetz, BDSG (German federal data protection act). The technology employed by mentaga GYM uses the same standards as used for online banking. The systems and processes employed are regularly subject to a security audit in order to ensure the high standard of protection of your data in future as well. You are responsible for keeping your mentaga GYM password secret. You should therefore treat your mentaga GYM password with due care.

How and by whom was mentaga GYM developed?

The first publication of mentaga GYM was preceded by a three-year, intensive research and development phase in which, in particular, the measurement technology design for the specific problems at mentaga GYM was developed. There are accompanying scientific studies being constantly performed by psychological and medical institutes of various universities. The research and development of mentaga GYM is a continual process and is coordinated by the company cut-e (www.cut-e.com). The company cut-e is the owner of all rights to mentaga GYM.

Since when has mentaga GYM existed?

After a total of 3 years of research and development, mentaga GYM was presented to the public for the first time on 1 December 2006.

Mentaga is very easy to use, and requires no prior knowledge whatsoever. The special design of mentaga GYM allows even inexperienced users to get into training their mental fitness quickly and successfully.

What is the mentaga GYM guarantee?

Everyone can improve their mental fitness with mentaga GYM. Mentaga GYM guarantees it. You will improve your mental fitness in at least one area by regular training in mentaga GYM. A clear increase means a rising regression line through the three-month reactive capability curve of an area.

Regular training means: You train for three months at least three times a week in all areas of mentaga GYM, according to the mentaga GYM check-up.

If this promise is not fulfilled, mentaga GYM shall, upon request, refund the membership fees you have paid so far. For this, you only need to send an e-mail to helpline@mentaga.com after at least 3 months and no more than 4 months of membership.
